That said, the current debate that is raging elsewhere on RBW suggests that the rEvo WOB leaves a little to be desired. Paul has rigourously defended his baby (as any Father would) but I was wondering how you guys compare it with other units that you have dived.
Please note that I am not being antagonistic as I have a genuine interest in this unit, I am merely looking for informed feedback.
Marin,
I have, as Rich has kindly stated, a number of rebreathers that I dive.
Amongst them is the rEvo and I think it is a cracking piece of kit.
If it breathed crap I would not use it, as simple as that. Why force myself to dive something that is uncomfortable when I have such a choice?
I find WOB on the unit to be more than acceptable when the diver correctly runs it at minimum loop volume, hell, I dived mine to 85 metres twice this weekend in Lake Geneva and it performed faultlessly.
Set up is easy, and rapid and the unit is well made.
I really enjoy diving mine.
Cheers,
Dave Cooper.
