what cell holder are you using?
I use a
narked@90 cell holder with my VR3 and 4th cell, to calibrate the 4th cell i do it the same time as i calibrate up my unit.
step 1: choose 98% as cal gas on your VR3 out of the gas menu.
step 2: short push of both buttons to put VR3 into dive now mode (keeps the VR3 switched on for 5mins, enough time to do cal)
step 3: Turn unit on an get to cal now screen, open mouthpiece select 98% (dont push to cal just yet)
Step 4: short push of right button on VR3 (brings o2 on bottom of screen) now push and hold the same button to go to cal screen.
step 5: push both buttons to say cal, same again to say flush gas (the VR3 should now say STABE Reading??), this is when i hit the unit to calibrate.
step 6: once the unit has calibrated up, the mv reading on the VR3 should stabalise (little fluctuation up and down)
step 7: push both buttons again on VR3 to confirm stable reading.
step 8: left push (short) to go back to home screen
Step 9: remember to switch off gas 98% and switch back on what ever DIL you are using in the gas set up screen and your all set to go.
Using this method my 4th cell is perfectly inline with my standard cells. I have just done a 2hr 90m dive today in 5c at max depth, deco around 14c the the 4 cells where never any more than 0.03-0.04 away from each other even at the end of the dive.
hope it helps
