| Re: KISS Announces Results of Scrubber Duration Testing Hello everyone, Sorry about the late response to this thread. I don't always get internet on my laptop when I travel, and then got hit with a bad flu. I think this subject has been discussed very well, and I don't have to much to add, as others have already commented for me. in general, I did my testing at the ANSTI facility last year for the classic kiss. For the sport kiss testing, I hired kevin gurr to assist and sent him a new unit to test for me. While both kevin and/or I were present during this testing, the units were independently tested at ANSTI by Ian. With regards to comments I read on RBworld someplace (sorry don't remember which thread) about kevin and I planning to release information at the same time, this is just not true. I've been planning for many months to release my duration data to the public just prior to these shows, and as Curt mentioned, I have taken out an additional full page ad in ADM to ensure the information gets to everyone. I found out about the chart only days before the Dive Show 2007, when I spoke with Kevin. There was an earlier comment by an optima instructor located in Florida who feels that I copied without permission the table which outlines sustainable RMV's and CO2 generation. This is just not true. I felt that my write up needed something to help put the test parameters into context. In the past I had discussions with Kevin about this, but did not remember the data. I contacted kevin and he sent me the data; and he explained to me that he got it from the US navy manual. Also, when I contacted kevin to get the data, he found out that I was planning on releasing my information, and I found out he was doing the chart. Hope I've answered everything, Kim Smith jetsam.ca |
