Don't you mean it uses one long green flash for a PO2 over 1.5?
It is letting you know all three cells are 1.5 or greater when you get three together.
I like it personally. Much easier to distinguish at a glance what's going on. I don't think another colour is a good idea personally. Green high, red low, orange bang on 1.0
