| Glad to be here Hi everyone, I have been diving for 15 years, went technical 10 years ago and am now IANTD Trimix. I have been looking at CCR's for some time. I started off shopping for the best 'all-singing-and-dancing' electronic units. But, after much research and consideration of the potential failure modes when mixing electronics, notoriously unreliable O2 sensors and water, I decided to go full manual. I eventually purchased a Pelagian DCCCR (mCCR) from Andy Fritz www.rebreatherlab.com a couple of months ago. I am very happy with its performance, design philosophy and build quality and can highly recommend this unit. I am British but have lived in Asia for the last twenty years. My preferred diving (in order of preference) is wreck's, caves and fast drifts accompanied by at least a few large sharks All my diving to date has been in tropical water and I have NEVER worn a wetsuit, even on long deep dives. I am aided in this by the fact that I carry more fat than the average Walrus I am moving back to Guernsey, Channel Islands, UK next year and I am NOT looking forward to getting acquainted with drysuit’s and low vis. However, I am looking forward to being an active member of Rebreather World and hopefully diving with you guys (and girls).
