I would never want to correct you, but I think the GPS feature is only activated if the "buddy" does not find a surface rescue vessel within a diver selectable time. I think the only snag holding things up is movie rights. Hope the source is credible.

Have you ever seen Airplane the movie? You know that blow-up pilot? Is the "Bailout Buddy" similar to that? It could be called the BBAP (bailout buddy auto pilot). I think think the BBAP should be next to the ADV, down stream side of the SDV, (where your HUD is mounted) that way if you glance down at your P02 and see that you have to much 02 in your mix, and go to add DIL but realize something isnt working right you can activate your BBAP.
