I put most of the meg, Can, head, CL's, Loop, into a travel pro rollerbag like the airline employees use and carry it on. Bit of a lift into the overhead though, practice so it doesnt look heavy and always put it over another passengers seat, so if it falls out it doesnt land on YOU!

Cylinders get valves pulled and packed separate (usually in my wet suit booties) and i slip the cylinders down the legs of my wetsuit for padding.
I always tell the TSA (if the xrays are in the concourse like here in PDX) that I will be waiting at the other end for any questions, smile and ask how their day is going. Others I have heard will put the TSA regs on cylinders printed out and wrapped around the cylinders see another thread here on travel with cylinders.
