I highly recommend purchasing one and getting used to it as designed to see if the front mounted counter lungs really turn out to be as big an issue for you as they seem now. I got used to them and frankly can't imagine having to deal with all of that on my back... having easy access to the O2 and dilluent add and OPV seems pretty key to me.
