Buy American? If the exchange rate carries on going as it is I'll be able to buy America with my spare change. I'd like the Arizona Meteor Crater in my back garden. The rest of the village might not though.
As to oil in Euros, I think that one country has already switched away from OPEC norm and stopped using dollars.
IF a reputable shipper ships that way and becomes part of a tax evasion shcheme we become party to that crime and it's a federal offense. Frankly I'm not in the mood to go to the can so you can save $50 in tax that is imposed by your country.
I remember way back when Chris at Abyss was shipping packets that way to the UK. One of his competitors notified the customs people over there and from that moment on EVERY package that was sent over got stopped, opened, held up until the recipient paid the tax in cash. I recall Abyss got a nice fine from US Postal service as well.
As I said earlier -- import tax and customs duties and VAT are a function of YOUR country. While right now I have to pay the huge exchange rates to bring things over here you get the benefit when i ship to you. Pay your tax and smile. The Queen needs a new Bentley!
Keep in mind i will be happy to sell back the London Bridge to you folks. We paid $6million for it. I will sell it back for $6 million and you are up $3mill. Wire transfers only please.
Cheers
