Great news, glad to hear you got it back.
I work in airlines, have done for quite a few years. I've never worked in lost baggage, but for whatever reason I was there one day when one of the girls told a customer that his bag had been sent to Queensland - He was flying Melbourne to Adelaide - He was cool calm, and collected about it, in fact, couldn't really have cared less... all he said was "ah well, at least my bag's had a nice holiday in Queensland!"...
