Well, I guess if he says so. But it doesn't make sense that it would have the same manned test duration with only 1 lung as with 2, otherwise, everybody would be doing the 1 lung thing, wouldn't they? 2 lungs supposedly brings down the drive pressure to move the gas around the loop, hence the longer dwell time. I would also imagine that less dwell time would increase the chance of a CO2 hit from overbreathing.
As for the sidemount thing, I was imagining the lung placed as normal on the back or chest, with only the head/scrubber on the sides, which according to a side mount diver I know, shouldn't affect the hydrostatic head at all. But you never know until you try it...
