Re: VR3 PO2 problems please help

Hi,

I have just got a new cell for my VR3 analyzer as the one I had was quite old and still working although when trying to analyse 99.5% O2 it was coming up with a reading of around 109.8%.

I did what any one else would have done, went out, bought a new cell and came up with exactally the same readings.

I got onto Al at Delta P and told him of the problem and within a couple of hours I had the programming to fix it up.

The reason I am going through all this is it sounds as though you may have a similar problem. Like Matt said, calibrate the unit in air and then check it against a "KNOWN" percentage O2 and see what you come up with. If it's within 1.5% (which is what Delta P say is alright) you are good.

If not then there's your problem. You'll need to contact Delta P and they will get you going in no time.

I also strongly recommend this procedure to any one using the VR3 with a PO2 monitoring cell as there is no high point calibration so you are relying on the internal algorithym to calculate an accurate high point. If it's wrong and you're relying on you're in trouble!!

Regards,

Lance
