Wanted to point this out too.... you don't need to have your offboard dil connected to anything other than your BOV. If you want to add it to the loop, inhale on the BOV, turn the knob, and exhale into the loop. That's a zero additional-hardware, dead-foolproof method. Just make sure the gas is PP02 viable at the depth.
