You may want to try something as simple as adding more conservatism to your profile, make sure you're staying hydrated and avoid fatigue.
I've had to do this myself because of old sports and overuse injuries. I know a lot of divers that can cut tables shorter than mine and get out okay but that doesn't work for me. Once I accepted that fact my diving has gotten much more enjoyable.
My condition is different from yours though and I've never had the skin bends so you'll have to decide what works for you.
Better advice would probably be to give the PFO more time to heal. After all you've been through there is no point in pushing it now.
