| Some more details For 2006 its too late to hire a complete boat. But it would be great to have a company of - say - 3 or 4 CCR-divers.
Trip would be 10 days including travelling, one stay over night in Guyaquil, 8 days in Galapagos. This would be boat-based, since the best diving in Galapagos is at Darwin and Wolf, the northernmost islands. (But a bit of sightseeing would be included.)
Diving there is mostly to depths of 25 meters. No problem for OC-buddies too.
But at Galapagos you can have *heavy* currents.
I.e. "normal" mode of movement against such a current at Darwin could even be pulling yourself forward from rock to rock hand for hand. (You won't swim against this current more than 1..2 minutes without drifting back.)
This is onlyso at the most exposed place(s). But these are especially interesting and absolutely worth it.
Its not so bad... I did my first time at Galapagos having just got my brand new CCR, having done the course 2 months ago. It was ok.
And there are much quieter places too.
I'm still in a very early stage of planning. So tell me your wishes, and I'll see, what is possible.
