Hi Bill,
There are quite a few mountain lakes/reservoirs we dive on a regular basis including Strawberry, Starvation, Deer Creek, Jordanelle, then there's Bear Lake and Flaming Gorge with better vis. We also dive Lake Mead quite often. They all offer a guaranteed cold dive and most are pretty deep for more technical dives. For warmer and more relaxed diving we have Blue Lake (near Wendover) and a place called The Crater which is only 30 min. away and is 65ft. deep and 90deg. F with decent vis. The latter is however always full of open wetar classes and they charge $25/hr of diving so I stay clear.
I don't dive a CCR yet as I just paid for my Apecs Meg and waiting to train on it in October with Ron Micjan but after that I'll be in a hurry to enjoy my new Meg as much as possible. You are welcome to PM me if you are in the area and a diving mood.
