How long after switching to OC before you felt a difference? Five breaths, 10, etc.? What did you feel during the worst of it? Please describe the feelings as you were coming around again after switching to OC.
During the worst of it I lost concentration ,breathing was very fast & shallow .The headache was in the area just above the mask across the forehead were you get the join of hood & mask ,infact I checked the hood was actually down to the mask & not leaving a gap for the cold to be causing it . It is true that it creaps up on you without you realising how bad it is .
When I switched to OC my dil had been 19/15 & I went onto 20/30 & I would say that within 3-4 breaths I could feel my breathing beginning to slow down & get deeper .Probably after 2-3 minutes it felt as though a fog was clearing but the headache stayed untill I went to bed last night .
I think that I was getting some fresh gas on each breath but under exertion it was clearly not enough & I was rebreathing more "bad" gas than I was getting fresh .
I found it a very confusing situation to be in & the time scales & number of breaths could be way out .at the time all I wanted to do was breath & the hardest part was actually making myself stay down & do the deco commitment before surfacing .
To be honest before anyone asks I don't know if I could have switched to an OC reg or not ,I was glad of the BOV so that I didn't need to try the switch .

Sorry if this lot doesn't make a lot of sense but it's just the way it came out
