Gigi Casati team announcement. Vrelo cave at Une springs Croatia expedition
The 31st of July with a dive begun at 12:20 and ended at 17:15 in the Vrelo cave at the springs of the river Une in Croatia.
Gigi Casati (Lecco Italy) has reached -205 meters setting a new world record for cold water (Around 9-10 C) rebreather cave diving. Total penetration has been around 280 meters.
The Vrelo cave after this exploration is now the deepest spring cave in the Balcans.
In the dive Gigi Casati was using an Aquatek VOYAGER rebreather and a bail-out open circuit decompression line with different gas mixes.
