What's your experience of the LP27 ? I am learning on AL13 in warm wetsuit water in Florida and my trim/weighting seem to be fine. I am hoping to use the LP27 for dry suit diving in new england.

data:
3mm full wetsuit + AL80 + 6 lbs
dry suit + 300 underg. + LP80 + SS backplate + STA + 14 lbs
dry suit + 300 underg. + 2xLP112 + SS backplate + AL80 bailout + 0 lbs
so far 3mm full wetsuit + O2ptima + AL13 + AL40 bailout + 2x2 lbs (top)

Do you think

dry suit + 300 underg. + O2ptima + LP27 + AL40 bailout + 2x2 lbs = ok ?

Erik
I used to dive double 100's w/SS plate with crushed Neoprene Dry suit with insulated undergarments. Dove with an additional 14 Lbs lead and ankle weights.

For the same drysuit & undergarments with the O2ptima, Steel 27's, & SS plate I use 3 Pounds of lead in each trim pocket at the top of the unit and kept the ankle weights, so overall I use about 8 pounds less lead than I did with OC.

I use a 40 AL bailout on all dives & add a 40 AL of 70% for the dives 100' - 140'. but I don't vary the weights for either. I use the supplied second stage & have the QC on another second for some additional bailout & deco if it's available & needed.

Haven't been in warm water yet.....
