New Hammerhead Sets - Announcement

Hi folks,

It's finally here - the worst kept secret in the last month - the new Hammerhead Wrist Units are finally ready for Prime Time...

The New Hammerhead System

The new Wrist Units have been designed and modified and in active dive testing since October of last year.

They come with a number of enhanced features, including a newly designed Battery Cap and Ring assembly, which simplifies the insertion of whichever battery or combination of 1/2 AA batteries you choose to use.

Captured Spring and single O-Ring make things simple again.

Look Ma, no coin slot!!

New Stainless Steel Battery Rings ensure maximum corrosion resistance:

Ring is now secured with 2 screws and it's own independent seal.

New Wet Sensor contacts reduce the probability of water drips activating the sets when sitting on the boat, and a newly designed Fresnel-like Lens over the Onboard LED makes viewing from almost any angle very easy.

Touch any to start too.

For ease of replacement, the Bezel and Lens combo are now no longer connected to the LP assembly, making the repair of a scratched or damaged Lens a snap, and the new Bezels have some of the base functions of the set engraved for quick reference.

Coming soon - "Expedition Grade" - Stainless and Borosilicate combo!

And about the new features:

The Rev. C+ sets now have the long awaited BATTERY INDICATOR feature.

Secondary Display Battery Voltage

Look at the Primary and Secondary Display - the actual Battery Voltage is now shown on the screens. The Primary toggling with the Max Depth, the Secondary showing Battery Voltage whenever the "Warn" or "Alert" isn't needed.

You'll now know your Battery Voltage at all times.

Because the versatility of the Hammerhead allows you to use nearly any combination of battery you can put together (from 1.5v to 7.2v, and in some of our OEM products, up to 9v DC) we initiated a sensible warning scheme - USER DEFINABLE BATTERY WARNINGS.

Batt Warning Set.JPG
Higher or Lower - Your Choice, as usual.

Essentially, you set your Battery Warning level to whatever battery and/or comfort level for what you are using. Using 1.5v AA Alkalines? Set it to 1.2v. Using 3.6v Lithium? Set it to 3.0v, etc. Over time, we expect to develop standardized "tables" for each type of battery out there, with lots of input from our customers, no doubt.

When the Battery Warning Level has been reached, the onboard LED of the Primary will now flash alternating Red/Green every 10 seconds or so.

For those folks who have asked us for it, we now offer ALTITUDE CALIBRATION in both the Primary and Secondary wrist units. When you go to calibrate your Oxygen Sensors, the set will ask you if you'd like Standard or Altitude Calibration. If you choose the Altitude cal, it will show you the current Barometric Pressure reading, then calibrate your Oxygen Sensors to that exact reading.

For Accurate ppO2 Control...

For example: Here in Addison PA, we're average around 950 mBar. On any given day, using Altitude Calibration, our ppO2 with 100% O2 would equal around .95. If you are diving in high altitudes, this type of Cal is very useful for accurate Set Point maintenance.

Drum Roll, Please....

The next major upgrade to the Hammerhead system comes in the form of SECONDARY DECOMPRESSION.

SEC DECO MODE.JPG

This is a new Option on the Secondary. For those divers who want to have the ultimate backup, the Hammerhead Secondary Display now comes with Full Trimix Decompression built-in.

A new Access Code enables this feature, and once entered, allows you to turn Decompression ON or OFF in the Secondary. You can define your Gas Mixes, choose or Define Gradient Factors, switch from Open Circuit or Closed Circuit, and even calculate FO2 just like the Primary Display.

And there's more - the Secondary now comes with the "JUERGENSEN LIFEBOAT" feature, offering unprecedented convenience and security.

Here's how it works: Define your Gasses in the Secondary, just like you do in the Primary. Choose your Gradient Factor Conservatism. Choose your Set Point. The turn Decompression OFF in the Secondary, and choose Classic Mode, Dive Timer Mode, or Dive Timer and Stack Mode - whichever is your normal preference.

Go diving. If the Primary fails for any reason, turn the Decompression ON in the Secondary - Boom! It has been tracking you through the whole dive, and ALL your Current Decompression information is ready for you to follow. Ceilings, TRT, etc.

It's the neatest thing to come to eCCR computers since the last time we invented something cool!

Combine all this in a new, sleek package, and you've got an unbeatable combination.

And here's the best part: The price for a Brand New Hammerhead (for a limited time only), is STILL only $3,295.

UPGRADES for existing Hammerhead owners will STILL only be $1,595

Options include:

Trimix Deco for the Primary - $300
Full Trimix Deco for the Secondary - $495
EXPEDITION GRADE PACKAGE (Stainless Bezel and Borosilicate Lens) - Coming Soon! Price TBA.
