Re: Extra gas in the loop?

Hey, this is gotta' be the dummbest question but here it goes.
What happens when you just had a couple of those chilli cheese dogs on the boat between dives and then go Rebreather diving? On OC it's easy (however unpleasant) you just let the reg have it, but on the loop it's got to be pretty nasty to rebreathe all that extra gas and if the flavor doesn't get you I'm sure it can't be good to introduce an unknown diluent in the loop especially when ascending. You're not supposed to breathe off board , right? That would be both sad and funny to get hypoxic on cilli chese dog fumes.
Just another dumb CCR newbe question so go ahead and have fun with it.

Perhaps this explains some of the mysterious rebreather deaths.

I don't know if it makes any difference, but I tend to burp into my mouth, then push it out my nose with my tongue. Very advanced technique.

I always wondered about the guy who made a rebreather using his drysuit as a counterlung. What does he do when the gas comes out the other end?

Good luck.
