HMMMM "selfish pig", my ex wife seemed to have used that same phrase quite a bit!

As a newly certified CCR guy I use it whenever practical. For me it means on any dive up to 130'. For now the deeper (150' - 200') dives will be on OC until I get a bunch of hours on my unit.

Many instructors will tell you to try not to switch back and forth in the beginning as you are unlearning a lot of OC habits and relearning new CCR ones, so why confuse the issue. I think it's a valid point, but I don't want to give up the deeper stuff for a season, and I don't feel ready to take the unit that deep.

I will tell you that carrying the rebreather is a lot easier than lugging two sets of 100's or 120's on and off the boats.
