Purging a reg in cold water is just not an entirely wise thing to do. It can cause a free flow and then i have to solve another problem. The KISS BOV is not really set up for filling bags. I am not a fan of putting my face under any lift bag. The small blow up ones - easy the big bags -- use a doggy dick. A lot more control.
