Re: Mystery Mil O2 Rebreather?

It is a Czech ZP-10 Tank escape device. Not a Rebreather. The vest is for floatation. The corrugated hoses run from a regulator mounted atop the vest & attach to the sides of the standard Czech M-10 or M-10M Gasmask. The double tanks are 2 ltr each & rated @ 30MPa. As far as I can tell the valve is DIN (I currently do not have a DIN regulator & havent had the chance to verify). I have one of these units, with another due to arrive tomorrow. It appears to be absolutely unissued. You could probably quickly make a simple Rebreather with some T-Hose connectors between the Gasmask & the corrugated hoses that lead to a scrubber & CL. I have a different Rebreather design, which I'll post shortly, but I intend on using the tanks (after inspection & O2 clean) & possibly the regulator. If anyone is interested I can post a link to a Czech language website that has a write up & a copy of the manual.
Thanks much for the ID. Don’t own one yet, but was considering purchase (as if I needed to add even MORE weird junk to my basement!). Hmmm, a couple of little bitty 295 bar 2 L steel tanks.........
