They are floaty cause you had to go with that mondo inner diameter.
I think you can get lead weight in 1/4 in. dia. by however long bars at a good fishing supply store.
Take that and rap it around your fancy crush proof hoses why dont you.
It won't be pretty...but you aren't much to look at anyway.
