Your decision seems well thought out. I think that's the point.

There is not a one-size-fits-all in RBs. Different setups for different missions/users. Gill's putting a premium on reliability and not missing dives. If a mCCR satisfies that need, then he has thought through his issue. Yours may be different. The Meg is not for everyone, nor the Ouroborus, or Evo, or rEvo. Each have their benefits, but also their quirks and issues. Pretty nice luxury to have options!
