Steve, thanks for that. Your suggestion is the most hybridized version of eccr and mCCR i've heard of. It would be great if AP put out an expedition kit that would provide such an option in the event of breakdown in remote locations. Actually just being able to override the controller and run it manually would have been enough to save a lot of heart ache. All the mCCR is safer theory aside, the real deal breaker is weather or not you can safely continue to dive on a trip in the event of a system malfunction. I'll give that some more thought. Maybe something I'll do if I keep the Evo and have two reabreathers
