Probably I didn't understand the question, however I had 4kg scrubber with two 7 liter (oxygen and diluent).

I dove it solo up to 60/90 ft, if more always with friends.

Well, about surface-control I got my girlfriend waiting for dinner, if I didn't come for 7 she would have put all my stuff out of the door: better to surface...
