Ok i'm v new to Rebreather's. Don't fully understand everything but am sure i know the principles.

I understand the need for bailout as i dive solo to the 30-40m mark frequently. I obviously still dive OC at this stage.

So all you Rebreather guys and gurls, why don't you have a mini RB as bailout? Why do you have OC as bailout? Has no one come up with a micro bail out RB unit? Or do you like the look of tanks hanging of you? Not too streamlined is it?

(Er, tongue in cheek poke and a jestful smile) From an outside looking in point of view it seems that anything that isn't streamlined is cursed unless it's a bottle of trimix swaying about in the current? Surely a nice neat 'ascent only' Rebreather that would fit somewhere on your person similar to an emergency chute for skydiving would be better than a couple of bottles swinging about?
