Nice going, Dave, just when I was about to post
"get trained, get a rig and get the experience you'll need to dive it, and maybe others, safely".
Woz, the two mCCR that have been CE certified have been so by a rather questionable outfit.
If the manufacturers were aware of it or not remains unclear, either way it casts a bad shadow on them.
In no place outside Italy has any mCCR passed CE. If you look at the various threads regarding CE you'll see that there are almost as many opinions and interpretations of the standard as there are words contained.
Paul is perfectly aboveboard about routing his units through Switzerland, and why it's done (and IMHO needs to be done). He could just as well go the other route, selling his unit outside the EC only. Doesn't sound like a good option for many of us.

As has been said before, give Paul a break.
Having said that, the single most important test done on any Rebreather is scrubber duration.
And that is one test I would like to see done on any rebreather that is sold, and it might as well be done to CE standard. We know it, we can compare it, as can the manufacturer. And from what I've been told it can still be submitted at a later point for certification purposes if that option becomes available.
