Hi Marty, if anything, I found the scrubber bucket came off a little more easily with the rigid plate. It also went on a bit easier, maybe because the additional rigidity allows you to transfer the force more effectively. I did have to shim out the lower screws on the head with 2 washers on each side to get the head/bucket to sit nice and paralell with the plate though.
