The problem is that the machinery is not the professor's, it is the university's. So without having some kind of affiliation, they can't do anything with us. If anyone has any ideas on an easier way to do this, I'd love to hear.
The course will be 3 or 4 weeks, once a week, and there is no grade or test. It is like a photography or knitting class that someone might take in their retirement. It doesn't sound like too much of a hassle.
