Not trying to pick any fights but I would dive her now if I could. I have read all of the posts and have tried to be objective in the opinions given but I just don't see how it would be unethical to dive now. With this exception. You interupt or inhibit the search/recovery in some way. If diving her now would do this then I would stay away (obviously it does seem a bit early to avoid doing this).
Many of us think of the bounty sure, what does that have to do with the missing? Respect? So if you dive it DO NOT be disrespectful of remains you will never find. Statistically speaking of course.
It is a tragedy that these people were lost but as stated before many natural wrecks have death associated with them and have bodies on them to this day. So what time frame makes it "OK" to go 2 days 1yr 10yrs. A funeral? The governments green light? The insurance companies? The loss is still there no matter who says its ok to go. I don't mean to sound heartless I am far from it but no matter who says "ok" it is a personal choice. Just like pulling crap from wrecks. Some do, some don't, some care, some get pissed about getting there too late.
This discussion seems to have been blown out of proportion and turned around as though those of us even thinking about pulling/finding some cool things are heartless JACKOFFS because there has not been a recovery. BS we do not stop driving down a patch of road for 2yrs because some one went missing on it. I could give many other examples of this but I am sure you get the point.
It doesn't hurt to think of the possibilities it could and does hold. Hell, I see nice ships sailing along quite often that I think would be great to dive. It doesn't mean I want that capt. to lose his ship or anyone to get hurt. It is just the detatched human element that exists in most of us I guess.
In any event if someone can get a dive together on it and needs to fill spots count me in (yeah right like it would be hard to fill spots).
Just my 2

I know to some I am an A**HOLE so save it!
