| Re: Sea Diamond Wreck in Greece This type of tragedy as sick as it can be is every wreck divers dream; a huge diving playground. Since it is a "real" wreck site and not an artificial reef it is not against the norm to have casualties with the accident. Many of you are saying that since people died and their bodies have not been recovered then the wreck should not be dived. I guess this means most of the world class and most sought after wreck dives around the world should be closed to diving, all the wrecks in Truk, Andrea Doria, Empress of Ireland the list goes on. But I do believe we need to wait for the proper channels to release the wreck. Maybe it would be best if the bodies were not recovered, because then this wreck can be determined a grave site where looting and removing items are prohibited. Sorry guys with dollar signs in your eyes, I have always followed the, "take nothing but pictures philosophy." |
