I've done it with a mouthful of cocktail, not pleasant but certainly doable. Ideally I'd have another p-ported 2nd stage so I could remove the CC mouthpiece and swap it over. I find breathing through the nose doesn't give me enough volume and when it starts snotting up..... This system is best for sanity breaths but I wouldn't want to do a long hang on it, luckily I was out in 8 mins or so.
