| Quick disconnect of offboard, onboard???
Hello All;
Well, this is my question. I am planning to get an optima which will be my first rebreater and as part of the safety oriented upgrades I am going to buy a BOV. Now, since I ll be doing no deco/recreational dives and I don't like to be over weighted I think I ll dive with the 13 cuf AL tanks. This will not permit me to use the diluent tank as bailout so I ll have to connect the BOV offboard. In the case that my buddy OC or CCR is in need of air I ll donate the offboard tank which will have a second stage and I d like to be able to clip the tank to his BC. For this I need a) an easy way to disconnect the LP hose from the offboard to the BOV and b) so I am not left without OC even in an ascend I want to connect the onboard cylinder to the BOV. The question is; is there a device the allows me to easily, safely and reliable connect and disconnect a LP hose to a BOV in order to exchange tanks in the water ?
