reason for asking was the accuracy of the reading you get from a HUD, OK let me refrase that, "the ability of the diver to deal with the information under a very stressful situation" In this situation a display of the actual values in numbers seems better than code. Please remember I am only just starting down this path (Half way through MOD1), In time the HUD will probably be as clear to me as seeing the display.........

As Dave said, a HUD is complementary to a detailed numerical display IMHO, and should not replace good handset monitoring practices - all is does allow you to do is to reduce the required frequency of detailed monitoring.
