Sorry don't mean to hijack but why hasn't someone put a small LCD display to show the actual PO2 on a hud? Only the LCD would need to be housed I,d assume electronics to run it inn the head.

HUDs are a great safety feature, but they generally give you a 'Within Setpoint Range' or 'Out of Setpoint Range'.
Even the Smithers code HUDs do not give you the visual information that a glance at a display can provide.
HUDs significantly improve diver safety IMHO, for me they are there to compliment the displays, not the other way around.
